During the week of September 1-7, Daybreak Church will be joining with countless others around the globe for a week of 24-7 Prayer. This prayer initiative to pray non-stop for every nation on earth is led by 24-7 Prayer International, an organization based in the UK.
During the Global Week of 24-7 Prayer, the goal is that every nation would host a physical prayer room, with non-stop prayer happening day and night.
As we pray together, we seek to encounter God’s presence and carry His heart for transformation into our towns, cities, and nations.
-
Non-stop prayer isn’t a new idea; it’s a recurring theme throughout the Bible and history. When we pray, we experience God’s presence, power, and love, which transforms our lives and communities.
God has been using the idea of simple prayer rooms to be a catalyst for outreach, mission movements, and social transformation. As we encounter God in prayer, we are propelled outward to bring hope and change to the world around us.
-
A 24-7 Prayer room is a creative prayer space that enables a chain of unbroken day and night prayer.
In the room are various prompts to help direct your prayers. Each person who signs up commits to pray for an hour in the prayer room.

We have an online signup sheet here. If you sign up, you are committing to come to the prayer room at 156B Strawberry Plains Road in New Town to pray for an hour.
You are reserving the space for yourself (or your group) during that time, and the room is yours during your slot.
You’re welcome to sign up for more than one hour if you like, and we will send detailed directions and instructions about how to enter the building. -
Prayer is happening all the time, all over the world: so why do we feel God’s invitation to a Global Week of Prayer? In short, this is a moment of profound unity as the global Church stands together.
When we pray, we discover God’s heart for transformation in our towns, in our cities, in our nations. What could happen if there was a week of non-stop prayer in every nation on earth? How might God encounter us? How might his greatness be seen? How might we see transformation?
We want to find out!

Ideally, yes – there’s something powerful about people gathering in person to pray. But we know that in some situations, it’s hard to do that. If you are unable to come to the prayer room, we will share many ways to join in with the prayer room virtually here during the week - pictures, prayer prompts, you can even message us to add prayers in the room!
We do ask that if you are praying at home, please do not sign up for a prayer slot on the signup sheet. -
The goal is non-stop, night and day prayer – but every bit of prayer counts. Whether it’s a few hours or one day, God hears and responds. We want to participate in this powerful prayer initiative – even if it’s not 24/7.
